Year 2020-2022 Soft Structures are results from an exploration with clay, specifically extrusion. Extruding soft clay through a custom H die is subject to the void in the barrel, gravity, and the resistance of the space. Stacked, distorted, then fired, the results are ceramic H-beams that retain every shift resting on a glossy, almost plastic surface.Structural geometry surrendered to its own making.
