'Hiroshige’s 100 Famous Views of Edo feat. Takashi Murakami’ at Brooklyn Museum showcases the museum’s complete set of Hiroshige’s 119 prints, complemented by mid-19th century Edo artifacts and Murakami's paintings. The prints are arranged around the gallery according to the seasons, with extended label rails installed to highlight the linear and cyclical nature of the original series. Three structures were introduced to display the museum’s collection of Edo objects in settings reminiscent of a shop and a picnic, drawing inspiration from some of the architectural elements depicted in Hiroshige's prints.
