Movement in Every Direction: Legacies of the Great Migration
Exhibition Design
Brooklyn Museum, New York
2023

‘Movement in Every Direction: Legacies of the Great Migration’ brings together the work of twelve contemporary artists to explore the complex impact of the Great Migration on their lives, as well as on social and cultural life. The exhibition in Brooklyn Museum is organized to create a space for retrospection and reflection for each artwork, with an immersive room featuring historical photographs of Brooklyn, a recording booth, digital and physical interactive maps. The title walls and artist panels are designed as a movable system as a nod to the lasting impact of migration.
