To mitigate the disparity of scale between the expansive gallery space and the intimate scale of the prints, label rails and wall panels were strategically positioned beneath the Hiroshige prints, creating a cohesive visual experience. The collection objects are arranged in three distinct vignettes—a shop, a picnic area, and a jacket display—each crafted to imply the ambiance of the era, inspired by Edo’s modular wooden construction.
