Kyong Kim is a Korean artist, designer and architect based in New York. Below are excerpts from her various resumes.

▲ Kyong Kim is a Korean artist based in New York. Originally trained in architecture, her work explores disruptions in the systems created for efficiency in the building process, from mass-produced fixtures in construction to drawing standards used by architects and engineers. In her most recent ceramic series, the artist utilizes the industrial process such as casting and extruding process to create objects with ambiguous functions. While her forms often refer to standardized architectural elements, her studio practice incorporates clay, plaster and fabric that allows artistic improvisation. (Open call application, 2020)

◕ Kyong Kim is an artist and architect born in South Korea. Her work ranges in scale from a 12x12 pixel gif to a 12,000 square meter building. Her work often engage with industrial forms and existing symbols which she playfully dismantles and misuses. Her current interests include: precisely designed objects with ambiguous functions, handmade readymade, and design failure. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kookmin University and a Master of Architecture degree from Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation at Columbia University. She currently lives and works in New York City. (Website, 2018)

☻ I bring branding strategies into tactile applications and experiences at the intersection of architecture, interior design, wayfinding system, product design and exhibition design. Clients I have worked with include Google, YouTube, Hyundai Motors, Samsung, Nike, Lincoln Center, and Prada Foundation. Most recently, I’ve been leading the interior design strategy and wayfinding design for YouTube’s new campuses in California. (LinkedIn, 2019)
